3. Web Hosting
This website is hosted by STRATO AG, Pascalstraße 10, 10587 Berlin, Germany. When you visit our Site, the hosting provider processes the data described in Section 4.1 (Server Log Files). A Data Processing Agreement (Auftragsverarbeitungsvertrag) per Art. 28 DSGVO is in place with STRATO to ensure the lawful processing of your personal data. STRATO processes data exclusively within the EU.
4. What Data We Collect
4.1 Server Log Files
When you visit our Site, our web hosting provider automatically collects and stores information in server log files that your browser transmits to us. This includes:
- Your IP address (anonymized where possible)
- Browser type and version
- Operating system
- Referring URL (the page you visited before ours)
- Date and time of access
- Pages requested
This data is collected on the basis of Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR. The website operator has a legitimate interest in the technically error-free presentation and optimization of the website. Server log files are stored for a limited period and are not combined with other data sources.
4.2 Newsletter Subscription (Voluntary)
If you voluntarily subscribe to our newsletter, we collect your email address. This data is processed on the basis of your consent (Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR). You can withdraw your consent and unsubscribe at any time by using the unsubscribe link in each newsletter or by contacting us at arne@arnepalluck.de.
4.3 LocalStorage (Theme Preference)
We use your browser's LocalStorage to remember your theme preference (light/dark mode). This data stays entirely on your device and is never transmitted to our servers or any third party. No consent is required for this functionality as it is strictly necessary for the service you requested (exempt under § 25 (2) Nr. 2 TDDDG).
5. Google Fonts
This Site uses web fonts provided by Google LLC ("Google Fonts"). When you visit a page on our Site, your browser loads the required fonts directly from Google's servers. In doing so, your IP address is transmitted to Google. Google may process this data in accordance with their own privacy policy: https://policies.google.com/privacy.
The use of Google Fonts is based on Art. 6 (1) (f) DSGVO. We have a legitimate interest in a uniform and visually appealing presentation of our website. The data transfer to Google in the United States is facilitated by Google's certification under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework (DPF), which has been recognized as providing an adequate level of data protection by the European Commission (Adequacy Decision of 10 July 2023). Further information on Google's DPF certification can be found at: https://www.dataprivacyframework.gov/.
6. Outbound Links
Our Site contains links to third-party websites. Some outbound links include a referral tracking parameter (such as ?ref=screenwritingtool.io) for analytics purposes. We do not earn commissions or revenue from these links. When you click an outbound link, you are redirected to the respective third-party site. These third-party sites have their own privacy policies and may use cookies or other tracking technologies. We have no control over and assume no responsibility for the privacy practices of these third-party sites. Please review their privacy policies before providing any personal information.
6.1 Outbound Link Click Tracking
When you click an outbound referral link on our Site, we store the following data in your browser's localStorage:
- The tool/product identifier (slug) associated with the link
- A timestamp of when the click occurred
- The page (referrer URL path) from which you clicked the link
This data is stored exclusively on your device in localStorage and is not transmitted to our servers or any third party. We retain a maximum of 200 click entries; older entries are automatically removed. You can clear this data at any time by clearing your browser's localStorage for this site.
Legal basis: This referral click tracking is based on your consent per Art. 6 (1) (a) DSGVO and § 25 (1) TDDDG. Since it is not strictly necessary for the operation of the website, we request your consent via the cookie/consent banner displayed on your first visit. If you click "Decline" on the consent banner, no referral tracking data will be stored.
Data retention: Referral click data remains in your browser's localStorage until you clear it manually, clear your browser data, or until it is overwritten when the 200-entry limit is reached. There is no server-side retention of this data.
7. Analytics
We currently do not use any analytics services (such as Google Analytics, Matomo, or similar tools) on this Site. If this changes in the future, we will update this privacy policy accordingly and, where required, obtain your consent.
8. Your Rights Under the GDPR
